On the bright side, the Rockets weren't going beat GSW this year anyway...

Yeah this season has been a massive disappointment, but on the bright side, even if the team played at a 60-win level like many had predicted this season, the Warriors would have still been better (70-win pace and dismantling 60-win teams like the Spurs, Thunder, and Cavs).

The point is, many predicted that the Rockets were going to be elite this year, but no one here mentioned the Rockets were going to be among the top 2-3 greatest teams of all time. The Warriors are that team. In a normal year, probably the full potential Houston Rockets would be championship favorites, but this is not a normal year. The Warriors are a team of a quality that the league has only seen a few times in all of its history.

Look at it this way, the Rockets, had they been every bit as good as we thought they would be this season, would have lost to Warriors in the Playoffs.

Can't think like that. Anything can happen in the playoffs. Look at Cleveland losing Love and Irving.

This team lost its drive. Need to mix it up and it won't happen this year.

You're forgetting how much this season is going to hurt the Rockets ability to recruit. Houston isn't a glamour city, like Miami or LA. All we can offer is a winning culture and playoff success, and both are missing in action.

Don't blame it on the year when we are barely 0.500 and the 7th seed. While freaking Portland that traded away 4 starters! is just a few wins behind and just beat us. While Utah who has not a pointguard is just behind us. When the Mavs who were the joke of the offseason are doing fine.
When if we were in the East we would probably be out of the playoffs alltogether.

    It's not just the Warriors.

So, which year do the Rockets plan on beating GSW?

Maybe the team should just tank until Steph Curry, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson and company retire.

But will Les Alexander even live to see that day? He's getting up there in age. How many years does he have on the actuarial table?

Honestly, its the game planning, offense & defensive schemes, rotations. JB hasn't even attempted to settle on a set rotation smh. Montrez plays well and won't see the court the next 6-7 games. Thornton plays well and next game DNP. The only consistent is Brewer. He's allowed to throw up all types of bricks, turn the ball over & miss layups. Just imagine if Thornton's given that type of leeway, imagine how good he'd be playing now. JB's strategy is a hot mess
