Should the primary road jersey show the word "Houston" instead of "Rockets"?

    I know this may be a stupid thread, but I thought the primary road jersey should say word "Houston" instead of "Rockets".

    The word "Rockets" should be only on home jersey.

    I just thought Rockets should change from team name to city name on the primary road jersey, just like the one on the alternative jersey. I know it is nothing a big deal but I think Rockets should show other cities we are "Houston".

    In my opinion, it doesn't make sense to show "Rockets" on road jersey. The "Rockets" and "Houston" both have same length of words, so they should change to "Houston" on the road jersey. I am not sure why they put "Rockets" in the first place.

    I think the Celtics had the team name or both jerseys. So do the Lakers.

    Then there is the opposite... the Knicks have the city on both, as does the Pelicans.


    But yes, I prefer to have the city on the road jersey.

    Much was made about this when the new jerseys were announced, consensus being at the time the Rockets were going for Chinese jersey sales because of Yao.

    Not really sure what the excuse is now.

    C'mon Rockets marketing guys make it happen!

    I remember the black Miami Heat road jersey used to be "Heat" but they changed it to "Miami" few years ago, I think.

    I am not sure what made them change it, but we need to do something about our road jersey.

    It's really not even controversial, it's one of the things fans are almost unanimous about. It was always odd.

    This and the desire to go back to the old color scheme, not sure why they haven't done it.

    In this day and age of teams moving cities... you're better off doing team name rather than city... it's all about branding - regardless of locale...

    Les is selling/marketing a product... is he marketing The Rockets or is he marketing Houston.... one to a lesser extent, but the other is his primary... marketing is all about name recognition...
