Typically I watch the games at home; wanted to know of any sports bars around Houston that get good crowds in to watch the Rockets play. With this new lineup and the play style changes we should be seeing its going to be an interesting season.

Are there any places where a bunch of clutchfans gather?

I am sure that this will be asked so:

I live in the Heights but am not starting this thread for just the, downtown/inside the loop area... hopefully there are enough responses to help out fans all around town.

    Good spot.

You should go to Jake's on Chimney Rock for Eagles games. Not basketball, but it's a hell of a place to be.

    I'll be there Monday.

Not sure where cf members gather but I would recommend sawyer park which is close to you.

Pub fiction in midtown is cool or Sams Place off Richmond works too.

The Wet Spot on West Gray.

Nothing like sippin a cold one watching an LCD....on the bar ITSELF directly in front of you.

I'd do Sawyer Park as well, pretty sweet as view of Downtown upsatirs and with this fall weather, should be great up there!

For those in the Galleria Area, there is a new Buffalo Wild Wings at Richmond and Weslayan near that new Costco.

It's one block from my house. Have not been in yet, but they appear to have a patio outside with some tables on the second floor. Looks pretty good

Griff's is cool. I used to catch games at Fox Sports Grille when I wanted to class it up a little, but it's closed now. I actually had a blast watching the playoffs at Dave & Busters on Richmond. Pretty diverse crowd watching the game there (slightly thuggy). I always enjoy watching the Rockets on the 21-ft. screen at Lucky's Pub downtown, too. Basically anywhere with cold beer is a nice spot to watch the game, in my opinion.

If you live in heights check out Bubbas on Washington, the 610 crew is there sometimes as well. Also check out Luckys in DT, they have some big screens and food is good.

In November a new sports bar is opening up in the Houston Pavilions shopping mall downtown (where House of Blues is). It's called the Board Room. I've been to the one in Dallas (actually watched a Rockets game there) and it's a great place if it's anything like the one in Dallas.

I checked it out a few weeks ago. It's much smaller than most Bdubs. I actually felt like I was eating in an airport. Was pretty disappointed.

    Thanks for all the input;
Have been over to lucky's, and the food / beer selection is pretty good.
    Have not been to Bubba's.

Fox Sports Grill in the Galleria is pretty nice too.

I saw Mario Elie there a while back doing post game work for FSN. Of course, I screamed his name and said something stupid like Clutch City. When he looked at me, I just had to do the kiss of death! :p

it isn't small...i'd bet it's actually larger area-wise than the village location. the patio tables with the private flatscreens are pretty sweet, and the tv setup is good if you're looking to watch multiple games.

i dont know who the moron is designing the bathroom there though. it's a f'ing huge sportsbar, and has 2 urinals and 1 stall.
