"Play better, coach better" after every game. Over and over. I feel like we have returned to "battle fighting." Please BOB come up with some new material; you are bringing back bad memories.

Every coach has coach speak... nobody should expect anybody to say anything meaningful in these press conferences.

He's actually pretty candid on that coaches show on 610. John Harris is good. I still hate 610 though.

not sure what people expect for any coach to say. 99% of the time it's going to be cliches. what can be said that would a revelation?

Obrien is full of crap. Houston media punked out at his news conference today. I don't think he's that good of a coach so far. Bonehead play calling, bad game awareness, etc., I hope he gets better and swallows his ego and hires an offensive coordinator.

He actually answers FOOTBALL questions on the radio show on Mondays with Vandemeer and John Harris.

For whatever reason, all the media ever cares about is injuries. Ask him more detailed football questions and you'll get better answers. If you ever watch the press conferences, they don't even ask him questions. It's more of, "Any injury updates?" or "Talk about Garrett Graham". Then he does he goes into the generic "good teammate" thing. Ask him a broad question, get a broad answer.

At the end of the day, being a dbag to the media is cool when you've won three superbowls or you're a playmaker. But shame on the houston media for backing down after his comments. they should have gone after b.o.b like a low entry TMZ employee.

I though B'OB said his way of being HC was to trust his coordinators to make the calls?

I don't know why you guys keep insisting he's the player caller. I've watched every game and it seems like he's called plays maybe for half of them. Godsey has called the other half of games including yesterday.

Yeah this is 100% accurate. O'Brien is one of the most open coaches in the entire league. He's not "punking" the media at all. He's very good on the 610 show. Y'all are weird, man. Complaining about stuff that isn't even true on behalf of... the friggin media? Weird.
