We don't have a Gronk, Jimmy, Julius, etc so I don't know exactly what you guys are expecting.

like it or not, Kubiak could walk in here tomorrow and make these tight ends respectable. Admittedly, it is possible he would make Nuke a blocking wide out in the process.

Next Rob Gronk, Aaron Hernandez hahahahahahahahahahahaha

Trio of tight ends could display star potential in O'Brien's offense

Texans’ tight ends have been targeted just a dozen times so far

I refuse to really knock the pass catchers as long as the QB position remains a joke, but yeah...it hasn't been great.

Jamarcus Russell had an unbelievable arm and can throw a 70 yarder easily also.

Not all offenses throw to the TE's, get over it already.

Wrong/Exactly. When he had Hernandez and Gronk they hit the TE. Now he has TE's that probably wouldn't start for more than 5 teams in the league. O'Brien isn't Kubiak, he's not sticking to his guns because he's a battlefightn' son of a gun, he's getting what he can out of what he has. And it's not much.

Get over the TE targets. Our 3rd and 4th WR's are superior pass catchers.

NFL fan just loves the idea of having a tall guy catch the ball. I know you people remember (heck y'all probably ARE the people) when 610, 790 callers and every media member asked - WHY WE NO PLAY 3 TE SETS GARYYYYYY, JAMES CASEY SOOOOO GOOOOOOD, GARRRRY.

It was OBrien who drafted CJ in the third round because he loves the idea of a tall guy catching the ball.

Not the fans idea to take that guy. If he wants to run only WRs out there fine by me.

But he's not. How's CJ doing?

About what you'd expect out of such a young 3rd round TE. Everyone thinks every team is stealing Ultron's in the 3rd round or something. It's rare. If we had a legitimate TE investment being squandered I'd be worried.

That's fine but I disagree with the idea that OBrien isn't trying to incorporate the TEs. I agree they just suck.

But it's OBrien and Rick who built this roster and wanted to go with CJ, Graham and Griffin

Graham looked good for GK, i think CJ caught what, 2 passes all of last year? BOB is just not a good offensive coach, i say offensive. I'd still rather have kubs with the headset on...

Travis Kelce was selected by the Chiefs in the 3rd round in the 2013 draft.

Currently he is a top 5 or maybe even top 3 TE in this league.

Of course, your beloved Texans selected these players in the same draft of the same 3rd round :

    Sam Montgomery and Brennan Williams.

Here we go again, naming a player a team hit on instead of naming the players they didn't. BRADY WAS TAKEN IN THE 6TH ROUND WHY WE NO HAVE GOOD QBBBBBB!

Either you still failed to learn how to use google or you are living in North Korea which your internet access is being controlled and limited, its amazing that you are just completely ignoring the FULL list of players the Texans selected the last few seasons.

I'm talking TE play in the TE play thread, you're talking about lineman. Congrats.
