Don't worry, Kevin. Melo will go where his wife wants to go--and that's NY or NJ.

Yeahhhhh DARYL MOREY IN THE HOUSE!

One of the many reasons we grabbed Courtney Lee.

With Martin, we are fine at SF with Battier and Chase.

With Melo, we are fine at SG with Lee and Taylor/Battier/Chase

I would gladly deal Martin if it means getting Carmelo.

Man, why do we have to sacrifice losing a Kev-Mart to get a Melo when the Laker just had to give away a Kwame for Pau Gasol. Please trade Brooks instead Morey!

Here's the part with the Kevin Martin part....for the lazy people.

It's sad considering I really liked Martin's game but to have the possibility to get a superstar like Melo doesn't come often. And with Carmelo taking his team to the Western Conference championships, I believe that this could be the push the team needs to lead us back to Clutch City.

Whats the difference between martin and carmelo?

they all score, score, and score.

and martin draws more fouls than carmelo...

I really dont see why we would trade martin for carmelo.

    keep martin!!!

or people in New York. if this ever goes down, Morey is gonna have to hide his ass with all those angry New Yorkers finding out they go screwed over again by him.

I guess i'm one of the ones who say to keep Martin. The guy is such a efficient scorer who has the best ability to draw fouls. Giving away Martin and draft picks for Carmelo is too much IMO.

Ill tell you the the differences. Mello is younger and far less injury prone than Martin. I really don't think Martin draws that many more fouls than mello does. That's why you pull the trigger on this trade. Then I'm sure dampier will follow next

The difference is that Martin is a better shooter, a better team player and a much more efficient scorer...and is better on defense as well.

So you can pay Melo 20 million a year or get the same production out of Martin for 10.

They aren't trading Martin....they are driving up the price, this is reversing the leverage by Morey.
