Marcus Camby plays his first game as a Houston Rocket in a tough 99-86 loss at Phoenix on 3/18/2012. Camby finished with 8 points and 8 boards.

We expected too much from a 38 year old center. He's still better than the crap we traded for him.

He played damn good, 8 and 8 in his 1st game with the team. He wasn't the problem.

Also, @1:15 Bill Worrell does his best Flavor Flav impression.

Looks like with Camby on board, Dalembert is going back into hibernation. He had a nice little stretch there for a while after his player meeting.

I thought he was excellent. Exactly what the second unit needs... a Center that can eat the glass and do the dirty work. Plus he moves well and is one of the better passing big men in the league.

Now, all the team needs is their starters back so that the 2nd unit can actually get back together.

Camby is clearly past his prime, but still better than many at doing what he does. He will help the Rockets, likely more than Jordan Hill, but the clock is running on his career. I don't see a Deke situation, but maybe.

Pretty good for a guy who probably hasn't much if any practice time with the team. He didn't feel like a liability out there.

Without a doubt he is the best reboundeing Backup C in the league. He just has that ability to read where the ball will go and will play off that really well. What i also noticed was he is a pretty sharp thinker both on offense and particulary on defense. He is a good help defender which is very good thing to have next to a weak defender like Scola.

He played well. Took some bad shots but that's to be expected, he knows almost nothing about our offense and isn't used to playing with our guys. I assume he will mostly stop jacking up mid range jumpers once he gets comfortable and knows who to look for on the pass.

Basically. I hope he doesnt get injured or slow down much for a while, because he still wants to play a few more years and we know he'll certainly want to be here.

That pass by dragic was beautiful.

Way more athletic than Sam Dalembert.

His play highly impressed me for a older big man. I could see Camby playing a few more years at backup center for the Rockets.

Against the Suns, really EVERYONE went into hibernation. Courtney Lee and Budinger stunk it up. Dalmbert at least played to his season averages. Combined 20 pts on 10-18 FG and 14 rbs from the center spot, at least servicably average

But yeah I can see where Dalembert can feel some "safety net" behind him and not feel as "pressed into action".

That's what happens when you're severely undermanned playing a back-to-back on the road :(
