Getting ready for another season of smack talking fantasy football, Clutchfans Style!!!

    Here is our starting line-up:

    Pete
    Ziggy
    Longhorn
    Fade
    Jent
    Rockets34
    PSJ
    Sam
    Moe
    Rook
    Smeg
    Flash

Red are one's that have said they are coming back this year for more punishment.

    Draft Date: TBD

Draft Style: Slow CF style, keeping with tradition

Draft Order: Randomly set once everyone is in

    Website: CBS or ESPN

Keepers: Need to decide if we are definitely using them and exactly what are the rules associated with it, because reading some comments (from the other post) I may have been on something when I put that together and made this way too complicated.

Rules/Scoring: Let me know what changes need to be done there, cause I know we had one - cause once the season/draft starts I don't like to change anything 9because typically Fade will start crying when I do :p).

Can we get rid of the -2 points for a sack on the QB rule?

Yes, I think that was the main one we had wrong last season.

The main issues I think right now are...

    Scoring:
-2 for QB sacks should be lowered or abolished.
Passed Defended should be added as an IDP stat (Was not carried over from 2 years ago)

    Keepers:
Is there a 2 year cap on consecutive kept players? (If there is a 2 year cap, can we trade an expiring keeper before the season begins?)
Penalty for Keepers (Surrender draft pick? Which round?)

The keeper system could be as follows:

1.) Surrender your first round pick if you decide to keep a player. (Traditional)
2.) Surrender a pick based on the round where the player is currently being drafted in standard leagues (Based on ADP from league website)
    3.)Keep no penalty for keepers
4.) Keep no penalty for keepers, but teams whose keepers are within the current top 6 ADP are penalized by not being eligible for a top 6 pick (I have recently implemented this in my yahoo PPR league)

I don't like passes defensed, gonna make me have to think too hard about who and when to draft IDP's, I also vote for -4pts for QB sacks. Maybe even -8. Are TD's still 6 instead of 4? Make sacks -10 then.

I would prefer Yahoo, but did an ESPN league last year and I liked it.

I think we should switch to ESPN.

I've tried just about every main site for FF (ESPN, NFL.COM, Yahoo!, and CBS)

I don't mind staying with what we have but if it's gonna cost Rook again I vote we move to a free site, all the others.

I liked the CBS site, I'm sure we could all chip in a few bucks to cover the cost.

Switch to ESPN or Yahoo. But also let Rook pay the $150.

I think a QB penalty for taking a sack makes sense, but -2 is a bit harsh. Certainly taking a sack is a negative play when the QB could throw the ball away.

I think ESPN works as well as CBS. Haven't tried Yahoo.

If we are voting, I say get rid of keepers altogether and go back to a full redraft.

If we must have keepers, I vote that you lose a pick based on where you personally drafted that player last year. For players you received via trade, you lose the pick that the person you traded with picked him. For waiver pick ups, you lose your last round pick.

Yes to abolishing the -2 sack penalty for QBs.

Yes to adding +1 for passes defensed.

I don't want to Rook to pay again, so I figured ESPN or Yahoo would be easier on him and all of us.

Question: If your keeper is a waiver pick up yet was drafted, would you still lose your last roubd pick in this scenario?

I don't remember who was on my team other than Charles. I do know if you keep a guy that was undrafted and only forfeit your final pick you get a steep advantage. Likely for the 2nd year in a row, considering a guy you got off waivers last year that you kept probably helped you win the year before.

I would argue yes, since the player was deemed crappy enough by someone to be outright released.

    Everything I was thinking.

    Add me to this wishlist.

Also let's just have 1 keeper if we decide to

Fade I agree, though I would like to do keepers and have played leagues where the way it is proposed can work, it is extremely complicated and would just cause headaches/problems. Might be best to just do a redraft.

The scoring things I agree with.

Will most likely go with ESPN, just do the draft on the BBS,unless they allow slow drafts.

I am totally fine with a redraft. Makes things easier.
