Why lol? They have a good case. Ariza is the better defender. As far as shooting goes they seem similar to me. Parsons does have a more offensive game though. Now it depends, what do you value more? Defense or Offense?
As the saying goes Defense wins championships, and Ariza has one. While Parsons better offense wasn't able to stop Lillards game winner.

parsons is better than ariza for sure.

that being said, ariza could prove to be more valuable for us by embracing the 3&D role to the T.

ESPN doesn't want Parsons' as their 3rd star

I wish I could work at ESPN and make up BS reports and get paid. All while never really knowing what I am doing...

The important thing is Dallas is paying max money for a guy that is likely to never make an all-star game. He may never be among the top four forwards in the west.

Idea role player? That's not what a someone who constantly pump fakes rather than moving the ball is.

I hate when people use stats this way. This list is a joke after #2.

The problem with offense is that, there's a cut off for it, you get paid more for offense, but if your offense isn't good enough to take you out of that roleplayer mold, nor without an actual elite skill, without defense, you're not really valuable to a contender at even fair market price due to being paid for superfluous skills.

Harden will have to be on not just Lebron level but prime Jordan level next season for a Rox to have a chance to go deep in the PlayOffs. He is the sole perimeter creator / attacker on this team as it sits.

How far did we get with Parsons and Lin? If you are just going to lose in the first round you might as well do it with cheaper players while trying to find a third star.
