Out on dvd and bluray.I'm a guy I have 3 dogs, a 4 yr old beagle, 2 yr old Bull Terrier, and a 11 yr old mixed breed of pit and boxer... When the movie was over I still bawled like a little girl, why?? <object width='400' height='225' id='flash41211' classid='clsid27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000'><param name='movie' value='http://flash.sonypictures.com/video/universalplayer/sharedPlayer.swf'></param><param name='allowFullscreen' value='true'></param><param name='allowNetworking' value='all'></param><param name='allowScriptAccess' value='always'></param><param name='flashvars' value='clip=1753&feed=http%3A//www.sonypictures.com/previews/homevideo/hachiadogstaledvd.xml'></param><embed src='http://flash.sonypictures.com/video/universalplayer/sharedPlayer.swf' width='400' height='225' type='application/x-shockwave-flash' flashvars='clip=1753&feed=http%3A//www.sonypictures.com/previews/homevideo/hachiadogstaledvd.xml' allowNetworking='all' allowscriptaccess='always' allowfullscreen='true'></embed></object>
I assume this story is about the Japanese dog Hachiko. I haven't seen the movie, but am familiar with the story. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HachikÅ This is Hachi.
Wow, didn't know it was an actual real story. Might have to check out the Japanese version if i can find it.. Man I would love to own a Akita breed though...
Never heard of it....don't think I want to see it if I made you bawl. LoL. I have a 4yr old beagle, and one of her puppies (mixed with Pitt).
I keep thinking about my favorite bbs poster of all time upon viewing this movie.. Where Are U? Spoiler <a href="http://s260.photobucket.com/albums/ii34/miyagiflow/?action=view¤t=100_0046.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii34/miyagiflow/100_0046.jpg" border="0" alt="Baylorbear09"></a>
i saw it. sad but heartwarming story. i have one question about it...what was up with that one scene towards the end of the money where jason alexander's character briefly turned spiteful and fame-hungry?? thought that was a bit odd and out-of-place, and nothing really came of it.
I guess he was tired of working at the train station.. I mean the dog did show up every day for 9 yrs straight, maybe it got to him...
Introduce family. Family gets dog. Dog eats, breaks, bites something or someone. Insert "We must get rid of that dog!" "No, we must keep the dog" argument. Add new family members with either children or other pets and a struggle. OPTIONAL: dog gets disease or survives an accident. Main dog dies. The end. Hmmm... what movie does that sound like? I think I've seen it.
Yes I agree that is a basic formula for a man/dog movie. Marley and Me is that exact movie which was also based on a true story. Hachiko is a much older story and it's slightly different in that SPOILER ALERT... well not really if you know the story of hachi. -Dog Finds Man -Man brings Dog Home -Wife says get rid of Dog -Man tries but starts to fall in love with Dog -Wife sees how happy man is with dog -Wife says okay to keeping dog -Man goes to work -Dog surprisingly waits for man at train station -Bond grows between man and dog -Man Dies -Dog WEEPS -Dog continues to wait for man at train station till dog dies after 9 years.
In Shibuya Station district, Japan... <a href="http://s260.photobucket.com/albums/ii34/miyagiflow/?action=view¤t=hachi.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii34/miyagiflow/hachi.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
