Our team has gotten thuggier since the addition of Josh Smith

    Has anyone else noticed this ? I feel that ever since we signed Smith, our team play has been represented by an extreme lack of intelligence and fundamentals. Our attitude has also been noticeably poorer. We are argueing with refs more . Granted , some of this can be explained by the fact we aren't winning as much. In addition we are just playing dumber . Dmo has been on a cold stretch offensively and some of this is due to a lack of post looks due to Smiths increased attempts . Dmo needs post attempts to stay in his rhythm.

    Smith makes one good play and then 3 stupid ones. This alone decreases our ratio of good plays to stupid plays. However, what is ultimately more concerning is how he affects others play and leads to reduced levels of play from the other players. The rockets are not yet comfortable offensively and have trouble breaking out of bad rhythms. Therefore smiths affect on the team is present even when he is not off the floor. Smith is netting a huge negative right now . Jones needs to get back soon and get smith permanently benched.

    Dwight should enjoy his widdle buddy while he's here. I can't imagine us bringing back this joker next season.

    In the OP's defense, the whole "Let me run into the defender, get mad, curse, get thrown out" act was very very very classless and boneheaded, and he does this very often...

    Rockets have been mediocre since the 19-5 start, Smith hasn't helped and has hurt this team, very bad signing.

    Smith joined the team right about the same time Dwight returned from injury, and Dwight has been very inconsistent since then. I don't think you can blame it all on Smith, in fact, I think we would have lost a few more games without Smith.
