    They had no choice i guess but i dont trust this contract to be good for them. Hes way overrated.

    I dont think lillard is that responsible for the commercial dialogues and it shouldnt be held against him . Its not like he said smth like that in an interview.

    An overpay for his level of play, but not overpay in the current NBA climate.

    Offering a max seems like the only way to keep a "franchise" player. Lillard is not really a franchise player.

    Davis reached criteria that allows him to get a bigger contract. I think some of them include making an all star team twice and an All NBA teams, which Davis has done and Lillard has not.

    Portland is going to rebuild for awhile.

    That buzzer beater vs Cleveland and the game winner against us in the playoffs in 2013-2014 made him a media darling.

    The buzzsaw he ran into vs San Antonio and the poor play against Memphis the past two postseasons exposed him.

    Why is Lillard's extension $120M and Leonard's $90M?

    I understand why AD got $145...but can't figure out the difference between Lillard and Kawhi's?

    Lillard: 6th pick, two-time all-star, 3rd all-nba team x1

    Leonard: 15th pick, zero all-star appearances, zero all-nba team appearances

    I'm not saying Lillard is worth more than Leonard but the spots they were drafted at coupled with those all star/nba teams help Lillard get those escalators in the extensions.
