POST YOUR JOHN MCCLAIN PHOTOSHOPS / LOOK-ALIKES
(the latter is for those of us not so photoshop-inclined)

I don't really have the skills to contribute to this thread -- this is more of a call to arms. It had to be done.

Nobody misses Richard Justice. Would anybody miss Panckes? I'm a waffle man myself.

Oh mann don't get me started on Richard justice. These chron writers always talk down on our sports team even if we win or lose.

I'm from out of town so don't read the Chron, but why is he called Pancakes in the first place?

Because he looks like a stack of them, and because we don't like him. He used to be a reporter a long time ago, I guess, but he's just been the mouthpiece for the Oilers/Titans/Texans for many, many years now.

I can still remember how he sided with Bud Adams years ago, writing column after column about how we would regret not letting Bud continue to rob us blind. And then when Bud left, Pancakes went with him and started covering the Oilers/Titans in Nashville. He ignored any conflict that a NFL beat writer would have regarding calling to keep his city's NFL team and therefore keep him in business. He has no journalist integrity.

Plus he's full of himself, which says a lot because there's a lot of him to fill.

Apparently 'Pancakes' was the nickname the players gave McClain in the Texans lockerroom.

I'm guessing because he is so damned out of shape and/or always eating around them.

Plus it doesn't help that the guy flipflops like one too.

Looks like Pancakes threw his hat into the ring for the cover of Madden, on his resume for why he should make the cover, he wrote:

"Very deep insight to NFL front offices, and can eat 143 pancakes in 43 seconds....without syrup."

For all the ridicule he received this season for "over-exaggerating" the cap situation.....the Texans are losing a lot of great players this off-season.

Great players? The only player they've lost that could even somewhat be mentioned in the same sentence as great is Mario Williams, and the Texans survived just fine without him for 14 games.

For the most part, this offseason is standard NFL operation - shedding average (ish) veterans when you have a capable replacement in waiting that's younger and cheaper. Texans fans just aren't used to it because we've never had a roster with the depth to allow that to happen.

As much as I have defended them, that might be understating it a bit. I wouldn't call Winston, Brisiel, and Dreessen average. They were all solid NFL starters, which are above average NFL players and not that easy to find.

But you're right, it's the way it works. Pancakes was still a fool last offseason with his arrogant "restructure" proclamations.
