I see the 76ers gave the Thunder a protected 2nd round pick for Thabeet. Why even do this trade if Hinkie had no interest in giving Thabeet a look even if it only cost them a low second round pick that the Thunder might never get?

Hinkie's making friends with Presti, all that ass kissing will pay off the deadline before Durant hits free agency.

boy, Hinkie has really turned tanking into an art form. "So NBA changed the lottery rules. I'll just try harder to lose." LOL

I imagine this is what Morey's moves would have been like if Les allowed him to tank. Glad he didn't.

I'm not sure, but there is a good chance that the protection is so strong on the pick that it will never be conveyed. For example, OKC gets the pick only if it 55-60, which means Phi would have to be a top 5 team next season.

That's probably the reason but they don't have Embiid this year and they even gave Royce White a look. Why not give the guy at least a look when the Thunder are paying his salary.

Thabeet is a great bench player, he is the 1st guy to cheer Durant coming from a timeout
