Interesting they apparently prefer Farmar, but that was reported. The new info here is that IND wants salary flexibility and have offered only 1 year deals for the FA PGs. If Lowry doesn't get anything MUCH better than this in terms of salary and years, I'd bet Houston will end up matching whatever deal he signs.

this is a joke offer from indy. 1 year? none of these guys will sign.

seems to be good news for our ability to resign him. that's a pretty crappy offer.

What has Farmar done besides ride Kobe's nutz to 2 rings? I heard on Sean and John that he was rated higher than Lowry on a list of FA PGs by a sporting news writer and for the life of me I don't know why.

I agree. This report on one hand and the Steve Blacke $16 mil 4 year deal on the other seems to set the price on decent PGs for the moment.

So how does it work, if/when Lowry accepts the offer, we have like a week to match?

I don't think Lowry will sign this 1-year offer sheet. So there's nothing to match.

I never agreed that Lowry could start for the lakers as some people here said. But, I expected he could get a better offer than this...

how does this work now? if we match, then Lowry is a done deal for 3.5? or can he go get other offers?

No one knows how good Kyle and Luis are. This is of course great for us. Maybe Stern did us a favor only putting us on TV two times last year. I don't think NBA scouts are as good as we think they are (Spurs excluded of course)
