Unreal! You're warned, graphic video posted below, so I spoiler'd it.

I don't know the details, but official story is the young man had a gun and was firing at the officers, but the witnesses at the scene tell a different story. Nevertheless, they shoot and watch him bleed to death. What a scary last couple minutes of life he had. :(

Make this D&D bound if need be.

Now, why do you have to name the thread so deceivingly? this really makes you a jerk.

The video above shows a perp who has already been shot and is bleeding on the ground. You (and we) have no way of knowing the events that led up to the shooting.

Your thread title immediately implies that the police had no reason to shoot him and that his crime was minimal and did not warrant the shooting.

Please rename the thread and go back to posting UFO threads.

I can't say anything about the suspect being innocent or guilty but how do you let a 19 year old bleed to death on a street like that?

You could at least attempt to apply pressure on wounds. They just let the kid die out there.

Edit: Toycen, even the site you are linking too doesn't know why the suspect was shot.

there is a ? mark in the blog post.

ToyCen, if you don't know the backstory, where did you get the bus fare bit from?

Are you implying that there might be more to this story?

They murdered him in cold blood for not paying his fare. Obviously.

Clearly, they could not render aide because as they needed to keep their hands free so they could still have him at gunpoint. Clearly, he was a threat as he lay bleeding to death. Clearly.

Just based on the video alone that's the only thing I would fault the police for since they stand around for about a minute just covering him with their guns.

Without seeing how the incident started I really can't say whether this was justified or not.

There's several police. Two or more could've kept their guns on him while one went up and checked on him. That's what they eventually did but they stand around looking uncertain for about a minute.

Clearly, my tongue-in-cheek assessment is wasted. Misplaced perhaps, in the uncertain brutality of this sad, sad incident.

Cleverly the officers feared for dear life and thought the suspect could be a mutant like Wolverine and quick heal only to return fire with an invisible gun, obviously.

Well if the guy really fired at the officers, I don't think tho cops were eager to help him out. Not saying it's justified, but cops have no sympathy for anyone that is a cop killa.

If he shot at the cops, and then the cops shot him ... well, that seems fair.

If this is the shooting I think it is, they found the gun. I saw it on the news yesterday. Someone used their phone cam and caught a guy picking up the gun from the ground and walking away. They found the gun dumped somewhere close the next day.

Also, according to the news cast, witnesses saw the kid pull out the gun.
