James is a good player but there are few that can be a legitimate #1 player on a team and carry a team

Here are some stats of Joe Johnson (his best year) and they are eerily similar

    FG % 41.4
    3 pt FG% 0.381
    FT %0.748
    Rebs 4.2
    Assists 4.4
    Steals 1.0
    Pts 25.0

James like Joe Johnson is a high volume shooter and drastically loses his efficiency once he is a #1 option. I am not saying Harden will NEVER get there but as of now he is not a legitimate #1 and has not shown to elevate his team mates play.

    Thoughts Clutchfans?

Joe Johnson's best year ≠ Harden this year.

This is not going to be Harden's best year as a rocket. He's still learning and adapting to his top dog position. I say reassess after 3-4 years when he's in his prime (if we don't get a superior star).

So JJ's best statistical season is similar to Harden's 1st season as a number one guy when he is only 23 years old. Yeah I'm happy to have Harden.

#1 Option is overrated any ways.

Get another perennial all-star or even two more and it won't even matter any more whose the #1 option or the #2 option.

Bet the guy that started this thread has no problem with Lin being the #1 option.

Worst thread ever. He's only 23 years old and he will only get better. And he's in his first year as the number 1 option. 0 star thread WON'T READ AGAIN.
    Wait until he's 25 or 28. Peace.

lay-off the ****. we talking harden here. not anyone. JJ to harden comparison is out of whack. harden all day including wednesday. classic knee-jerk thread.

well, i think most are expecting this after the loosing streak. guess no one is immune against criticisms on the rockets org.
