I remember I saw him at the Houston George Bush airport once coming out of the bathroom after he got traded to the Knicks. When he saw I recognized him he sorta sped away and sat down, pulled down his hat and started talking on his phone. I got the drift and didn't bother him but I pointed him out to my wife who said she just came out of the bathroom and saw T-Mac's wife as well in there and she was tiny (5 feet or so). During that time he just crunched up and tried to make himself small while hiding behind his hat. My wife tried to convince me to bother him for the photo but the dude was straight home cringing and I couldn't bring myself to ask him. I can totally believe he would have been reticent to take pictures with OP, he was outright hiding that day.
Lol. I'm a fan of Mac but he's definitely a strange cat. One time back around 2006 or 2007 pretty much the whole Rockets team showed up to a club here in Portland after a Rockets win...Tmac, Yao, Deke, Bonzi, Scola, Luther Head etc. Everyone was having fun drinking, taking shots etc except Mcgrady.... He was chillen by the railway which was right in the middle of the club where everyone could see him but he had 2 body guards blocking him from everyone. He wasn't drinking, not engaging anyone, not on his phone, not talking to anyone. Just chillen like a statue. I was with a friend and she was Fine as F... Anyways Mac kept pointing at her to his body guards like go get her. She didn't care too much but her GF who was celebrating her Bday that night wanted to meet him and so they both went up and talked to him. Bday girl ended up telling Mac that it was her bday and he goes "it's not really your bday is it... You just said that cause you wanted to meet me." Not that interesting of a story since I'm sure hussies tell them all kinds of stories to meet them but hearing my friend getting mad at how full Tmac was of himself was the funny part.
