Phil might have sold 100 million records, but I have been told that he never actually performed on Soul Train. That makes his career a little bit suspect imo.

right up there with Neil Peart (rush) as one of the greatest drummers of all time.

and incredibly rare than a great drummer could also sing!

    a true legend of music.

Too bad the Alamo has been one of the most poorly run historic organizations in the country. There was talk of it changing hands to be part of a real historic organization but to no avail.

So his stuff will likely suffer.

What he should have done first, was walked into this guy's store, in disguise, with that collection

so, we'd get to see this guy (LV Historical Museum director) authenticate it, or not....lols

I'd give anything to see that episode, when Phil Collins reveals himself at the end to announce he's donating the collection instead.

I have no problem believing that's how Salt Lake City, home of the Jazz, rolls.

so in a way mcgrady is peter gabriel...since they both quit. gabriel's career post-genesis was much better though.

No way. Gabriel hit some really high highs with solsbury hill and several others, but Phil's solo career was much more successful and populated with hits.

sounds like someone who only likes Syd Barrett lead Pink Floyd. Blasphemy I tell ya.

I like Gabriel's solo stuff. Big Time and Sledge Hammer were awesome songs.

agreed. his influence on videos for Sledgehammer alone was palpable. His highs might have been higher, but Collin's kept it up for longer.
