Lakers have been too busy winning 5 championships over the last decade or so.

As for Jeremy Lin, despite getting those analytic report from the Rockets, he was still pretty much the same player throughout his two years stay as a Rockets.

That should tell you everything about him as a basketball player.

he knows he's heading out, might as well get back with some passive aggressive comments like he always does.

Lin got his payday, he can say whatever he wants.

There is 0% chance Lakers bring him back.

That's hilarious. A thread about the Lakers (non)use of analytics turns into a Lin bashing thread. Any mention of Lin turns into typical D&D garbage where nobody discusses the topic.

As for the Lakers, good. Anything they aren't doing to gain an advantage is great. They're trying to get by on the history and market of the team to attract players rather than properly scouting/evaluating talent. But, since the Lakers haven't been relevant for the past 3 years in which analytics have really blown up, investing heavily in it now is quite pointless due to the high turnover and no sense of future direction.

Only one Rocket(excluding KJ McDaniel) has taken > 10% of their shots from long 2P distance (16' to < 3P). Harden @ 13%.

The Lakers have 13 players who have taken a higher % of long 2P shots. Jordan Hill has taken 37% of his shots from long 2P distance. Only Tarik Black and Ed Davis have taken a smaller % of their shots than Harden from long 2P distance.

No amount of analytics can deal with Lin's turnovers, jump in the air throw it away boneheaded plays, cowardice or his dlrusional and idiotic fans

Another passive aggressive comment from the guy
