at first glance this looks pretty good, most difficult matchups all home games other than 49ers and AFC North champion http://www.johnnyroadtrip.com/schedules/nfl_future_afcs.htm ------------------------------------------ Home Denver New England Oakland St. Louis Seattle Tennessee Indianapolis Jacksonville Away Kansas City San Diego Arizona San Francisco Tennessee Indianapolis Jacksonville AFC North Champion -----------------------------------------
As far as the NFC match-ups, we will be at San Francisco and at Seattle, home against Arizona and St. Louis
you're right, the link I found is incorrect, we were at home against Seattle in 2009 that will be a very tough game
Hmm, definitely appears to be some tough matchups in there. Particularly on the road - SF, Arizona, Indy, Baltimore. At least the Denver and New England games will be at home...still tough though.
So much can change in 1 year so this tells us very little. I just hope SF is still good. That's a matchup I want to see, whether it's a rematch or for the first time since Harbaugh started.
It seems like every year our home schedule is weak. We might get just one or two games against the good teams and the rest is like whatever. But yeah, the schedule for next year does look tough, and it might look like we might have to fight for our playoff lives next year.
Remember the AFC South. Even though Indy's record is solid this year, they have a lot of work to do to be a true 10-win caliber team. I wouldn't be surprised to see them "slump" next year to a 7-9 season, even with a similar or slightly better overall performance. The Texans are still the class of the division and, as such, at least one home playoff game should be the expectation. That said, it'll be difficult to duplicate a potential 14-2/No. 1 overall seed type of year. Need to take advantage of this opportunity while it's here.
you cant really say now, if the schedule is going to be tough or not, it depends on the draft, and free agent market. well, you expect that the games against Patriots and 49ers are going to be tough, but you never know.
Denver NE and Seattle are gonna be our tough Home games 49ers and AFC North champs are gonna be our tough road games Surprised that we didnt get the NFC East this year...Dallas, Giants, Eagles, and Redskins??? That wouldve been fun...
For the other conference, it rotates by division every four years. We had the NFC West in '09, so we get them again in 2013. NFC East in 2010/14, NFC South in 2011/15, and NFC North in 2012/16.
So, when do we play the Cowboys again? Since the only time was our first game in 2002 .... it is every 12 years for every team in the NFC?
It's every four years. We played them in 2010, 2006 and 2002. So it will be in 2014 unless there is a preseason game, not sure how they work them. 09/26/2010 Dallas Cowboys 27, Houston Texans 13 10/15/2006 Dallas Cowboys 34, Houston Texans 6 09/08/2002 Houston Texans 19, Dallas Cowboys 10
