Wow, I guess Texans is one of the most important franchise of all sports. Most people loves Texans. This wouldn't have happened without consistent sellout every game.
Yeah I should read before posting, basically a repost. Sorry. Was very surprised at the ranking though.
From 2007-2010 when the Texans took advantage of AJ and his uncle when they extended him with 2 years left on his rookie deal. AJ lost out on $20-$30 million because of that.
LOL ! we took "advantage" of his uncle? LOLOL what did he have a gun pointed to him when he signed a contract?! if i sign a ****ty employment contract with a corporation and if I do something extraordinary for them, do I expect a raise? maybe, but am I going to count on it? no. People need to understand sports is a business at the end of the day. Texans redid his contract and made him the highest paid reciever of our decade so gtfo with we took advantage of anyone
That depends on what type of job you have. I'm also sure if you sign a contract with an employer _ if you honor your end of the contract they will honor their end of the contract. As far as the 2010 situation _ the Texans had no choice but to redo that contract because when AJ brought the situation to the eyes of the media everyone in the football world looked at that contract and saw the Texans had AJ bent over with his pants around his ankles. He was giving the Texans top flight production while receiving low payment in return. That made the Texans organization look bad especially with the contract Fitzgerald received. That's why the Texans turned around and made him the highest paid WR so they could save face and continue to have the "classy organization" tag.
How many playoff victories have the Cowboys had since 2002? The Redskins? Hint, it's less than the Texans.
Im a Texans fan so im not bashing them. I just think its amazing they are up there with teams with multiple world series and super bowls.
