They probably mean as in to let Harden recruit and ask Durant what coaches he wants to play for, etc. I'm also pretty sure Harden has already talked to Durant on Dwight and Harden already knows Durant thinks he's soft and wouldn't want to play with him so Rockets probably already came to the decision to not resign Dwight because of word of mouth from Harden + Dwights regression. This is great news though. Harden probably wants a young, former player. Kevin Ollie might be the guy and that's exciting for me. Ollie will probably also be Durant's choice. Why would you want someone like that? This team first and formost lacks discipline and structure. Why would you want another push over 'player's coach' that let's Harden lollygag around the defensive end? Harden needs a dictator coach that ****s on his ego. Last thing we need is another enabler lackey coach who will not hold Haren accountable and let him do whatever the F he wants on the court while playing no D Great way to try and ring Harden is not the calibre of player of Curry, Lebron, KD or perhaps even Kawhi and Davis to have significant input on the new coach Mauri should just ask Harden his opinion as a small token of appreciation being the franchise player but it should not weigh heavily in the final decision
Better than Morey having any input. Morey needs to stay put in the basement where he belongs. Coaching is important. Can't just have an algorithm implementer. Stay in your lane Morey. You do you. Let a coach do coach.
