No, we're going to ignore the years of police brutality that resulted in the protests and riots and then call all the protesters animals and thugs because some stupid kids started looting. New day same story.

CVS burned down. Liquor stores looted. 7 police officers injured so far. Cars burned and destroyed. Fire department unable to work on fire. MLB baseball game cancelled for tonight.

    Yep. A minor riot.

When they are looting Inner Harbor or Harbor East, it becomes major. Right now the police are protecting Baltimore's assets. North Ave is not going to be saved. Considering almost no police intervention, the amount of damage is qualifiable as minor.

Protesting is one thing. Burning cars, throwing rocks and bottles at cops, looting stores makes you a freakin THUG and an ANIMAL.

This is obviously because taxes are too high. Lower them and the market will fix this.

That does cross the line. I've never understood why they tear up their own neighborhoods.

And I'd say the same thing about the dipsh!t whiteboys in Columbus or Morgantown every time their sports team loses (or wins).

Looting is a necessary part of revolution. I'm not saying this is a revolution yet, but, revolutions typically don't come out of nowhere. First you have protests, then riots, then looting and insurrection, then revolts, and then full on revolution.

Most people hate both political parties and a lot of people see the government systems in their lives as having failed them and as nothing but an inimical foreign body.

I think we should all be rioting and looting honestly. The police are not reformable or fixable. The political parties are working together to make serious reform impossible. To me, it seems like the only option we have left is violence.

Mondawmin mall is a nice mall too for the area, sad to see it being looted. It'll likely not be back.

Are they really their neighborhoods though? Do they own the stores they are looting and destroying? Most of the wealth in poor neighborhoods is not owned by people from those poor communities, but by people in better neighborhoods using their wealth to extract more wealth from already poor communities.

Police are used to maintain and protect this unbalanced relationship. It is no surprise that people will strike at those who control the wealth of their community when the police are not there stopping that from occurring.

People are tired of begging the police to change, and the best way to get them out of our lives are showing that they are no longer welcome in our neighborhoods.

So, if a black person shoots another black person, that is a non-story and everyone goes about their business. No big deal.

But if a white person shoots a black person, it is a free pass to start looting the local retail establishments.

    Amiright?

Actually it's because taxes are too low. Raise them and police will stop being brutal and people will stop rioting. Can't you hear America screaming take my money?
