Now that the Jason Terry acquisition has become official, let's all welcome Jason Terry to Houston! This is the official "Jason Terry as a Houston Rocket" thread.

He's been a long time rocket killer but he can't hurt us when he's playing for us! I'm excited to see all the late game 4th quarter dagger threes that he'll hit for us.

Do we now have the best shooting triumvirate in the league? The JET, Tr3y Daniels, and Franciso Gar3ia!

the more i think about it I like it just for the fact that it has to suck for Dallas fans to see him as a Rocket so we can get a lil redemption for Chandler

we have such a young team so we could really use his proven veteran leadership in the locker room as well.

he's an nba champion so he could really mentor our younger guys. i hope he takes patrick beverley under his wing. i hope he can teach james harden some heart too.

Everyone who doubted Daryl Morey's abilities can kindly exit the Rockets bandwagon. He distracted us all summer with promises of Chris Bosh, only to finally deliver the knock out punch and bring to Houston the TRUE missing piece for a guaranteed championship. No one thought a move this seismic was even possible. A NEW ERA INDEED. #pursuit

judging by his twitter feed, plenty seem to not like it... i dont think its the possibility of him being good that upsets them its just you never want players from your team to play for rivals

Never liked the guy, in fact I hated him. But the more I think about it I'm starting to buy in. Veteran, shooter, tenacious competitor, swagger, leader, winner, champion... If he's still got it, this acquisition could be the sneaky good splash transaction of the offseason.

I think I'm on board. IF he's still got it, and if not... They acquired him for what amounts to a bag of trail mix and pair of used sweat pants. No biggie.

We knows he doesn't have depth perception issues at Toyota Center
and he's a proven playoff winner
and he doesn't have a teenage fan club too, which is great for the board

Kenny never gave himself a nickname when he was playing.
I think it was completely a TNT thing.

I don't think Horry had a nickname until the Lakers.

    From?

I had lots of problems with Kenny the Rock (sic), but loved him as a son to his father!

Dalembert had a cup of coffee in Houston, Terry spent 7 years in Dallas and went to two NBA finals and won one... totally different.
