Warmly welcome the new Jeremy Lin?

Another decent sized PG who attacks the basket, draw fouls and played in Reno, Nevada.

Fact about him last year with the cats (now hornets)

He led the league in bench FT's per game.

    Quality BAE option IMO

i'd be happy. this is the type of Lin replacement that can be had for cheap.

He wouldn't be bad on a DJ Augustin type contract (without the PO) with the rest of our MLE. 2 years 6-8 million. Basically Lin type production, on a much cheaper contract.

Guess that would mean either no upgrade at PG or that Beverley would be for sure shipped in any deal for Dragic/Rondo.

    Beverley/Sessions
    Harden/Daniels
    Ariza/Garcia
    Jones/Motiejunas
    Howard/O'Neal

Still would desperately need a solid backup 3 and 5. Guess we could use BAE to sign someone like O'Neal, Okafor. Then re-sign Garcia with veteran minimum. Byron Mullens would also be a interesting addition with vet min or BAE at the center spot.

Thing is, what the hell would be the point of signing Smith if we were to turn around and then sign Sessions?

Either, there would be a trade following, because Beverley/Sessions/Smith/Canaan/Johnson makes absolutely no sense

or Ish Smith was who we decided to sign instead of Sessions for depth at the PG spot. I'm betting this is most likely the case.

I have a random trade idea, that involves the hypothetical of us signing Sessionswith MLE, O'Neal with BAE and Garcia with veteran minimum.

Trade Motiejunas, Beverley, Capela, Pelicans 1st and unguaranteed contracts (Gee,Hopson,Powell) for Rondo and Bass (salary absorbed by Lin TPE)

    Rondo/Sessions/Smith
    Harden/Daniels/Johnson
    Ariza/Garcia/Covington
    Jones/Bass/Adrian
    Howard/O'Neal/Dorsey

It's too perfect to not happen.

I really need to stop with the random trade idea's lol's.

I would feel much more comfortable about the bench with a vet PG like Sessions

    So many PGs

    Bev
    Canaan
    Ish
Nick Johnson (probably a 2 but can play point)
    And Sessions?

He averaged 12.3 PPG/4.1 APG/2.4 RBG last season. Idk I kind of want to see what Nick Johnson has to offer. Nick can score and defend well.

discussions, concussions. there's someone who'll do half of what sessions can do for a 3rd of the price. and his name is ish smith

to be srs, it would be nice to have a seasoned vet on off the bench, who has been a rotational player for hist most of his most career.

His presence would be welcome, if he choices us. He is better as a backup PG than the other options at the 1 spot.
