    Aren't comedy central roasts supposed to be directed at comedians?

    No, not really. The first roast I remember was of Pam Anderson. They have also done Donald Trump and the Hoff.

    They were much better in the early years when they were involved with the New York Friars Club. Those were funny.

    Where's the challenge in this? I'm guessing writing material will actually be hard because it's too damn easy and they'll want to be creative.

    Got to give Beiber props for allowing to be roasted. I know there's a lot of celebrities that people respect, with huge egos and wouldn't dare let a bunch on comics roast them on TV. And we're talking about celebs that people like. Nobody like Bieber and hes gonna get his ass handed to him. Hes the perfect guy to roast.

    We'll see how he takes it. I can respect someone that can laugh at themselves.

    Justin Bieber is now on the same list as Flava Flav, Pam Anderson, and Donald Trump. If there was anyone left that didn't see this dude as a joke, this should take care of them.

    I guess you could roast the years where he sold albums directed towards girls, but if that's how you have to earn money, so be it. Plus, it wasn't like he was a 20+ year old male singing to pre-teen girls.

    Basically, the roast will be:
    - you sold albums directed towards girls LOL
    - you're irresponsible LOL

    Not trying to defend Bieber - there's really not a lot there tbh. No one roasting him will have a funny story to tell; it's just mocking him for being irresponsible and directing his music to girls.

    Too bed Greg Giraldo is dead. I will never forget how openly perplexed and pissed he was over Larry the Cable Guy actually having a successful and highly profitable career during that roast.

    Greg was the voice of every literate person in this country that night.
