Sounds like Clowney is feeling the pressure to play... as he should. Time to suit up and show us what you got!
The question has always been if the trainers allow him to play at all, and if so, how many snaps. Just like RAC said, when the trainers say he can go, he can go.
Narrative #3: Clowney plays and blows his knee out, and the "bust/injury prone" label is believed even more by the idiots who pushed him back too early.
At home. The last MNF game they played was in Cincy and they lost. It's impressive, and it is a home game for them so that streak is relevant, but it's not quite as impressive as being totally undefeated on MNF for 22 years. Eh. I had no expectations for this season. If we do make the playoffs, it's not like we're a threat to win the Super Bowl. When you're dealing with the #1, you have to be conscious of the next 10-15 years and not just this season. You don't go out and potentially sacrifice your #1 pick for simply a CHANCE at the playoffs in a rebuilding year. He plays when he's healthy. I've gotten the feeling that the narrative is that if he doesn't play, he's just being a p***y/diva. If he does, he's still a p***y/diva but he was pressured into playing by Braddock calling him out. Lose/lose for Clowney with the way people have reacted the past few days.
If nothing else put Clowney in and tell him not to be Watt, be Brooks Reed. Ya know just kinda out there.
