6-6 at 13 years old? Wow.
The tallest person that I knew at 13 years old was only 6-2 at the time.

    Kan he reed and ryte?

    If the answer's no, he's a shoe-in to be a Memphis Tiger.

"...son of former NBA player [and ex-Houston Rocket] Mitchell Wiggins..."

Am I the only person that caught this?

Dear old Dad was one of my alltime favorite Rox. Stud defender and a capable scorer, especially during his second tour on the team. One thing for certain...he'll get some of the best opportunities to train with the best coaches, trainers, etc. Membership has its priveledges.

I wonder if Mitch stayed friends with Dream over the years? Post up coaching with the best low block player EVER could be a huge coup for a budding post player. Some sessions with Carroll Dawson might prove valuable, as well. Although I'm glad CD's no longer our GM (game passed him by), I do recognize his adeptness at one-on-one training. He helped Dream incorporate the jump hook, and is 100% responsible for James Posey's career post-Rox. Halfway through Poz's last season with the team, CD retooled his jumpshot mechanics (reduced the motion in his shot...less jump and more set shot with a more pronounced follow through) and the rest, as they say, was history. I specifically remember the marked difference and wanted the team to retain Poz afterwards. Without that change, KG is still probably ringless and in the McGrady-boat.

the most impressive thing there is that the kid has the "guard" handles. that's what can't be taught later on. at only 13, if he grows to 6'10 or 6'11, it will be interesting.

then he becomes just another prospect. That article was awful and didn't do justice to what the video displayed. Who gives a rat's ass if he can dunk with ease? Of course he can. The intrigue should be that most guys that age, at that height, are very awkward and uncoordinated. This kid is practicing post moves but ALSO has guard handles. That should be the story. If he continues growing as expected, you're looking at a 6'10-6'11 big with both post moves and ball handling ability. That's the real story. That he's "taking drop steps and little baby hooks with both hands" doesn't mean squat - all big kids are groomed as bigs.

I can't see the vid. Are you talking about guard handles that are advanced for his age, or on par for a guard his age, despite his "big" stature?

guard handles in a big man's body (6'6" at the moment)

if he grows, he's potentially like a taller tmac
