Include 4s and 5s. Possible candidates:

    Shaq
    Duncan
    Dream
    Barkley
    Robinson
    Garnett
    Dirk
    Malone
    Kemp
    Rodman
    Deke
    Ben Wallace
    Ewing
    Yao
    Pau
    Mark Gasol
    Zach Randolph
    Dwight
    Sheed
    Aldridge
    Bosh
    Blake
    A. Davis

And I'm sure that there's some that I'm missing. No rules, just explain why you did what you did. Can be top 5, 7, 10 15, ect. Doesn't matter.

    This should fun.

I'd put Camby in there. The man was a hustler. Rebounds when you needed them, defense to close out games.

And a mean right windmill against JVG. ;)

What about Antiono McDyess before the injuries?

Same with Antonio Davis when he was dope.

    Jermaine Oneal before the injuries.

Dale Davis as a an who could play Shaq one on one...

    1. Duncan: longevity + championships

    2. Dream: because Clutchfan.

    3. Robinson: despite what Dream did to him in the WCF, he was the MVP for a reason.

    4. Ewing: He was the reason for the Knicks' success.

    5. Webber: bc I liked him since he was a Wolverine? *shrugs* He made that King's franchise relevant in his tenure.

    6. Barkley: because he's not a role model.

    7. Rodman: DPOYs, Championships, would've ranked higher but he's a complimentary player while the above are franchise players.

Off the top of my head

    Hakeem
    Shaq
    Duncan
    Robinson
    Ewing
    Unibrow
    Malone
    Garnett
    Barkley
    Dirk
    Webber
    Bosh
    Kemp
    Zo
    Pau
    LMA
    M Gasol
    Yao
    Griffin
    Randolph
    Zeke
    Dwight
    Sheed
    B Wallace
    Rodman

Players listed within 1 or 2 spots are probably interchangeable

Besides Jermaine, those guys are clearly inferior to the other players IMO.

It's really difficult for me to consider Dirk among these other names as a "big." He never played like a big.

I don't mean that as an insult to him either. He was entirely unique and he put his team on his back to win a title. But when I look at that list, he stands out as someone completely without a big man game...on a list of "bigs."

    LMAO.... it's not that serious

    He's 7'
He averaged 8+ rebs multiple, multiple seasons
    He can't dribble
He's been listed at the 4 his entire career
    He defended PF's
    He posts up

    But... he shoots good right?

So he's kinda more of a Shooting Guard.

I would probably put Dirk and Robinson in Tier 1 - both of these guys were MVP and Robinson was a beast prior to Duncan's arrival. Dirk as much as I dont really like him completely revolutionized his position as a stretch 4.

    Here would be mine:

    GOAT Status
    Shaq
    Dream
    Duncan

    Tier 1
    Malone
    Garnett
    Barkley
    Dirk
    Robinson

    Tier 2
    Ewing
    Rodman
    Webber
    Mutombo

    Tier 3
    Dwight
    Yao
    Alonzo

Yao would be tier 2 if he was healthy more during his prime unfortunately that did not happen. Webber was a beast prior to microfracture and I was tempted to put him Tier one because I felt he was that good but everyone else in my tier one had won at least one MVP award. Rodman was a true freak of nature defensively and probably the best defensive player I have seen outside of Hakeem.

I would put Dirk in Tier 1. Not too of an argument but he has passed up everyone but Shaq and Malone in scoring, and will pass up Shaq in scoring this season. Dirk was pretty under-rated when he was in his absolute prime. He would put up 35/10 with 5 assits easily on some of those early to mid-2000 Mavs teams.

I would also put Dwight in Tier 2. In his prime, he was a 22/14 with 3bpg and won 3 consecutive DPoTY awards. Much better stats and accolades than anyone in your tier 3 and even better than some in tier 2.

In my opinion, Toronto-Bosh is better than prime-LMA.

Dwight has to be in at least the same tier as Yao. More personal accolades and has been to the finals and conference finals.

With that logic, you would have to consider Magic and Bird bigs also although Magic was listed as a PG most of his career. Magic could obviously dribble but Bird could not.
