Sheridan :Was a gruesome injury. Paul George's leg broke against the base of the basket. He went up to try to block a shot. @Paul_George24

Will never be the same player ever again.

I am very unhappy to hear of this. I hope he will make a solid recovery, and return to the NBA.

    Ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuch.

    That's beyond awful.

Sorry Paul, sorry Pacers, sorry NBA fans.

    That's a big lost.

Not just to the world of NBA, but team USA as a whole.

Imagine the players that won't be willing to participate due to this injury.

By now I think all nba players n owner esp, shall b very anxious, scared, cautious n prudent at the same time. Should the states send their best players to this FIBA competition, olympics n suffer n lost their assets? What can be done to avoid this miseries n unfortunate events? Time for the NCAAs, D leaguers n other overseas pro or amateur players to don the USA uniforms again?

College NBA lottery guys won't want to do this either. It'll be Dleaguers and and NCAA 2nd stringers - guys with nothing much to lose. Prison chain-gang teams.

Dayuuum, how skin even held his bones inside? Remember someone broke leg couple of years ago, some international player if I'm not mistaken. That was even worse, because camera showed it all and he was screaming badly. Career ending injury.

Completely avoidable, there's negligence somewhere and someone is going to be sued big time.

It seemed horrible but the chances of him making a full recovery is high. If that was his knee then his career is likely over, but it was a compound fracture and with the right treatment and rehab, he can fully heal and his leg will be stronger.

10 posts were made in that thread at Pacers Digest before it was locked. One by the opening poster, and 9 others telling him that he is a freakin' idiot.

There will always be a village idiot. It's the village who has to decide how to limit the idiocy so that it doesn't reflect badly on them. The Pacers Digest village handled this one well, IMO.
