    Already posted. IBTL! :)
Interesting. I guess we'll have to hope the franchise sale over in New Orleans tank and they are forced to sell CP.

Houston and NO seem to have a good relationship, with several medium-sized deals having been done between them recently.

Quick question--is there any concern that we may end up with a disgruntled Bosh? Given the speculation (emphasis on that) that Houston isn't one of his top choices but gets forced to do a SnT for the max, might we see any long-term ramifications there?

Great article Clutch, a worthy read.

You summed it up really well. I think the chances of getting Bosh are on the rise. If the Knicks do get Lebron as suggested by SAS and that then causes us to get Bosh, who really cares so much about those draft picks. If the Knicks get nothing and we don't get Bosh, we still win with the draft picks.

    Clutch,

Have you heard any news of a possible 2nd meeting for Daryl Morey and the Rockets with Chris Bosh?

Thanks for the information. You certainly get the impression that Henry Thomas is probably the second most powerful man this offseason after Lebron James, and it's a real dick-move by him to shut out the Rockets like that when the best interests of his client would dictate to him to explore ALL options on the table.

As Rockets fans we have to hope that there's enough of a backlash from all other parties involved to prevent Chicago's, Henry Thomas', and now apparently Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh's hopes from happening. Because to build a juggernaut like that takes a lot of help from other parties, namely the Toronto Raptors and/or Miami Heat.

Also this rift that seems to be forming between Lebron and Wade can only help us out. Maybe it escalates to the point where the fight for Bosh really starts to look childish and Bosh decides that he's a good enough player not to be the lackey between those two. Under that scenario Lebron would return to Cleveland with his tail in between his legs, and Wade would set up shop in a revamped Chicago lineup with some lesser PF at his beck and call.

And, straight out of the movies, Bosh fires Henry Thomas after learning of his crooked deception.

I don't think it was Henry Thomas' fault that Morey and the caravan didn't know where Bosh was. I think it's because of the tampering rule. They can't have any communication with the FA's or Thomas for that matter. Hence, the curveball.

Exactly. It's not a buyer's market, and I won't shed any tears if the Rockets lose out on the "privilege" of signing a player to a 120+ million dollar contract, just on season before the next CBA. We might look back on this as a blessing in disguise.

They knew where he was...the problem is they guessed wrong as to where he'd be. As we can see now, Bosh set up meetings in chicago...so i think they knew he was going to conduct meetings in a major city and assumed it would be miami because of the hoopla, even though he had just flown back to dallas...so they sent the caravan, by the time they realized he was staying put in dallas on july 1, the caravan was too far to travel back...not sure why they kept going to miami though..

Still doesn't justify it was Henry Thomas' fault/plan to shut us down with Bosh's whereabouts as it was stated in the article.

I don't get all the love for Bosh. While he is a borderline max contract talent his actions during free agency are a major turnoff.

All the tweeting, clutchfans4bosh and other garbage seems to be a waste of time that is actually turning out to be counter-productive as the guy doesn't even grant the Rockets an official meeting.

This team will be better off without him at this point. Let him go and move on.

At this point I do not feel he deserves to be a Rocket as a person even if his basketball skills are worthy.
