Does he really want to go out on a 60 loss team?

Does any team trust his chucking instincts?

    Possible to match salary?

Might stay with the Lakers because he's untradeable. Lots of ego guys like Iverson can't function in a secondary role.

I hate Kobe, but I have say that I never expected him to be this good coming back. His, age, an achilles injury, and a knee injury. He's doing some amazing stuff on the court. He's still a chucker, but he's a pretty good chucker.

    This.

He deserves every bit of suckitude that is coming the Lakers' way this year.

It will be the cherry on top if he starts b****ing about the mess he created.

    Glad he signed it too.
No team is going to want him for that money.

He'll ask for a trade. He's always whining about something.

People should'Ve realized by now that in recent years he's only in it to improve his brand and break scoring records, crippling the Lakers with his ridiculous contract is a pretty clear statement.

He doesn't care how many games they lose as long as he's allowed to chuck and cash big time.

It would not be amusing if he returned like an all and done fart.

It is much more fun watching him play relatively good basketball and still lose because his team is so bad.

He stated many times that that ship has sailed (Summer 2007) Kobe will be a Laker until he retires.

I agree with you. He's surprising me with what he's been able to do on the court so far. But still chucking lol

People say this year, then next, then he's done.

Yeah right. Kobe with his fade-aways and reverse dunks is still playing great; and he is SOOO competitive...the situation would be like Jordan's: he'll retire, and then six months later he will un-retire.

And no. Kobe will never leave the Lakers. Basically guaranteed he retires with that team. They chose him over Shaq; they've based the whole organization around him. No way he leaves.

He sells tickets and his contract is too big for any team to want to take him.

Kobe will stay on the Lakers, try to break as many records as possible, retire at like 40 and then play in Italy or China for a few years.

It's simple. No matter how good Kobe plays, this is still a team heading for 50 losses. As we get closer to the trade deadline, there's going to be a sense he can propel a team like Phoenix or Memphis to a contender. LA being LA will offer to pay a chunk of the remaining $48 mil left on his contract. Losing takes it toll on the psyche of someone used to winning. there will be a trade.
