Has anyone been watching this? I haven't caught an episode yet, but I'm a total sucker for apocalypse/disaster stuff and this looks like a really interesting urban survivor concept without all the stupid games and inbreeding. <object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/IOKO19BMPKk&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/IOKO19BMPKk&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>

Well, since it's in this forum: The Colony is obviously just another attempt to turn our country into a SOCIALIST HORRORSHOW and POOP on the CONSTITUTION!
I've watched the show and while its a little "staged" it's a cool social experiment without all the fake games and voting people out etc that happens on other "reality" shows.
Fluffy Bunny? Great show. It's like a science class with Professor MacGyver. It looks like they are given free time to come up with "projects" to help the colony. Pretty amazing what they come up with. The solar powered trike was really cool - until it got smashed up. This, Pitchmen and Treasure Quest have all been great shows on Discovery this year.
DT and I have been watching. But I think we caught it in the middle of the season... He had to explain the scenario to me before I watched an episode. It's a really great concept. This may have been explained in the beginning, which is why I don't know, but the two things that I wonder about are this: How do the contestants/the show get around thinking "oh I only have XX days left. Just tough it out, it'll all be over soon..." I mean, do the contestants think it'll be an indeterminate amount of time? And how do the contestants not seriously harm/maim/kill the "extras" when they come marauding? Because it seems to me that if they knew that they would only be there for XX days, and that nobody would ever get seriously physically harmed, then that just ruins the experiment.
I watched a couple episodes and I thought it was a cool concept but like meggoleggo mentioned it doesn't seem very realistic. Kinda cool though to see these engineers and great minds come up with the stuff. If I were to ever be in a apocalyptic situation, I wouldn't mind hanging out with these guys.
