I bet throwing it half court against a wall for a suitable bounce is harder than he makes it look. For instance, the ball has to not only get him close to the basket, but it has to be high enough of a bounce for proper alley-oopishness.

Exactly. Throws were the most impressive part. No idea how many takes this took, but these are the kind of dunks that people miss 10 times in a row in the dunk contest because they can't get the throw right.

^^^ granted there's no walls in a dunk contest (yet), but you get the point

I agree man, I'm a big LeBron fan, not a "bandwagon fan" I just appreciate basketball greatness. But those dunks were pretty basic for the better dunkers in the league.

LeBron has really nice in-game dunks, but nothing dunk contest quality, like a vince carter/paul george/gerald green.

Not impressive unless teammates go crazy on the sidelines.

Yeah the dunks themselves were nothing special at all. He's had tons of in game dunks that were better than those, but the throws were really impressive, and show how good of an athlete he is.

I do wish he participated one of these years, however. He's a freak.

First dunk was pretty sick. And he really needs to man up and join the contest, just once, LeBron!

Dammit it cut off before I could see Chris Bosch with his shirt off. Any how lebron was only giving 60% effort.

I don't get why he does this, when he is clearly scared to enter the dunk contest. I don't get Lebron's logic in this.

I think we all know the dude lacks the flexibility to do the circus twist & turn dunks. He's good for those in-game power dunks. He's doing us and his reputation a favor by not entering.

With that said, would love to see him join the contest and lose.

Dunks were boring. Throws for the dunks were nice though.

his dunks were meh, but I get why he doesn't want to do dunk contest. There's nothing to gain from it and he can only lose.

It makes sense for someone like an up and coming Griffin a few years back- he was a nobody among casual fans and that made him a star. This year he got voted in as a starter over dwight and aldridge. Guys like Wall and Lillard are a perfect fit for the contest- really good players who aren't household names yet.

You ever balled and just sat around after practice and had people dunking or trying to dunk or throwing alley oops, etc.? I'm guessing that's about as complex as the logic gets.
