We knew at the trade deadline not getting Dragic or a secondary playmaker would doom this team. That moment has come.

We lucked out in getting past LAC. Hopefully the FO doesn't fall into a false sense of complacency and then just bring the same bench people back for next year, because that would be another seasonof futility.

Would Lawson be possible?

Bev, God bless him, is just not a starting caliber PG on a title team. Not in a league full of superstar PGs.

If nothing else...we watched the best Rockets season in decades. Sad end, but I'm happy.

Actually, I would love to have AB back as instant offense off the bench.

The rockets have shooters that throw so many bricks that it seems they are building a shelter for habitat for humanity. Priority... get shooters! And get another elite offense creator. Lawson would be perfect

Priorities, in no order:

2nd perimeter threat (FA signing?)
Perimeter defender (KJ + Johnson?)
Defensive PF upgrade over Terrence Jones (almost anyone)
Shooters. Shooters everywhere.

The answer is quite simple:

The Rockets must play harder.

McHale on Rockets attitude down 3-0: "There’s no feelings. I don’t understand feelings. We have to play w force and we have to play harder.”
— Jonathan Feigen (@Jonathan_Feigen) May 24, 2015

I'm very happy with what this team has been able to accomplish. I've really enjoyed how well they played despite all the adversities. Having said that, we really need a new coach. Hopefully, in the mold of Pop or Mike Budenholzer where we have a system where we can plug players in to the most out of them.

For the Rockets to beat the Warriors they must beat them a their own game. Here’s what makes them an excellent team.
1. They are a pass-happy team. They lead the league in assists per game (27.3) and in "hockey assists" (the pass that leads to the assist) per game (8.1), according to SportVU
2. They are defensive juggernauts
3. Excellent bench
4. Coach with a high basketball IQ.

Doable but team has to buy into the first two.
I'd also add that an above average PG would be crucial!

This is not hard to answer. Obviously a healthy team, I dont think the warriors have anyone on the bench in the suit at the moment. Sign 1 or 2 pure shooters ( 3 pointers and freethrows, and the current team MAKING FREE THROWS.

1) We need to stay healthy. A healthy DMo and Beverley makes this a completely different series. Our interior defensive rotations are horrible (a strength of DMo), and nobody can stay with Curry (Beverley can for a little while). If we had either of those guys, this series would be tied.

2) More playmakers. Somebody besides Harden has to be able to shoulder the offensive load. Both Gentile and Llull fit that description.

3) More shooters. When Terry/Harden/Ariza/Smith is your most effective shooting lineup, you've got problems.
