Given that Omer is on the team, I figure there may be some Turkish fans around here who can tell us what's going on with Rockets draftee Furkan Aldemir. All I can find about him this season is here: http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Furkan-Aldemir-6146/ He's played 14 mpg in 6 Eurocup games. Pretty good per-minute averages and has a very high (70%+) FG%. So, can we get a Furkan update?

Never at any point did I waver in my belief that this topic would devolve into a horrrific mix of Furkan based puns like it already has. I mean, imgaine what it will be like when he makes it to the actual team.
That's an error on Yahoo's part. The Rockets aquired Aldemir in a four-way trade with the Mavs, the Clippers and the Jazz (involving Lamar Odom and Mo Williams). I think Yahoo mistakenly thought the Jazz ended up with him. What a Furk... Sorry, I can't do it. Too many puns in the oven.
It looks like an error on the Yahoo site. We got rights to him from the Clippers as part of a 4 team trade the Jazz were part of http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/81...our-team-trade http://www.nba.com/jazz/news/2012062...-williams.html He sounds great. Scouts say reminds them of Paul Millsap, because of his rebounding toughness --- Luka Bassin, International Scout and Coach 'An undersized center with average physical skills but incredible will and wish. Very aggressive with great rebounding touch. His future position should be PF but needs to improve his perimeter shooting. Other than that could be a rebounding machine and a good role player in future.' Euro-Step.net “Furkan Aldemir has already established himself as one of the premier pick and roll defenders in Euroleague. His footwork, positioning and ability to get back to his man after hedging out are quite impressive for such a raw prospect." --- And he's only 21.
Actually I SAW Aldemir on court in a Euroleague match the other day. They love him over there, commentators seem to think he's the 'next big thing'. I saw him get an offensive rebound, but that was about it. Was at the end of the game. The one offensive rebound didn't make me think "wow - this guy has it". But hey, it was a real life sighting of the guy on court, and that's what is being asked for here isn't it!
