Unfortunately you are one of the few. I had the same question was he the only one there are did they single him out because he was recording. We have all seen pictures of all races at the #BlackLivesMatter protests, but without watching the video(blocked at work) I cant tell if he was the only one there.

The same thing that's happening at these rallies is what happens in every thread on every BBS. The few loud voices argue about whatever agenda they have and the rest of us get to spend time adding people to our ignore list and trying to find out what little actual news we can regarding the incident being discussed.

Try using #LifeMatters if you want to remove race from the conversation.

 

In fairness, the issue seems to be LARGER in the context of the black community, that is probably PART of the reason it is blacklivesmatter#. There are specific organizations that fight for gender equality, fight for the rights of hispanics etc. So it really isn't that odd for it to be specific to a particular race.

 

You can pretend to live in a country that doesn't exist but you're just pretending.

 

Fair enough Jay.... FWIW I don't assume most members of blacklivesmatter# are racist in a majority of times. If you told me you were attending protests of that organization I would not assume anything other than you actually got your butt of the couch and we're doing something... I don't believe a majority of people at blacklivesmatter# are racist.
