The specific order of games played won't be available for months.

That road slate is absolutely brutal.

    Yep.

It is, but of course teams can change year to year.

Texans will be exposed next year if they can't get a quality QB.

We had a pretty light year in regards to QB talent.

Hard to beat teams if you can't score enough, hence our 8-7 record.

    Home schedule looks easy.

    Road schedule looks disastrous.

That road schedule looks bad not only from a difficulty standpoint, but also from a destination standpoint. Outside of Boston and Denver as cities, and Lambeau Field as a bucket list sort of thing, there really aren't any places a fan can look forward to going.

We will be dogs in every single away game except Indy and Jax.

    And maybe not even Jax.

Home we should be favored against everyone except Cincy and maybe KC.

Say hello to another 8-8 season!!

    Oakland's a toss-up... and they'll be favored against Tennessee.

Being favored in 3-4 road games, along with most of your home games, is about on par with what most good (not elite) teams have going for them.

And frankly, this very well should be a 9-7 season... I know its nothing to hang your hat on, but they're not the hopeless/years behind every good team in the league case that many feared after the debacles against Atlanta/Miami.

I just hope we don't have any prime time games.

Minnesota will have a new stadium and will be hosting the SB the year after Houston.

And 3 road games are set every year regardless..

And you just said 3 destinations that are desirable... add in Minnesota (due to the new stadium), and that's 4 out of a possible 5 destinations (the rotating ones) that will be desirable next year.

I'd say that's better than what they had this year: Atlanta, suburban Miami, Charlotte, Buffalo, and your favorite... the ghetto-natti.

Two 9-7 years in a row. But those were with two of the easiest schedules in the league. If our division improves could get very difficult.

A good thread would be to see what our cap situation is and how many free agents we have. If we lose some guys we don't have much depth to replace them thanks to our poor drafts and signings.

Not worried. We either get better or we don't. Good teams play the "big boy" schedule and still take care of business. This just means there is added pressure on the leadership to improve the team.

Texans seem to always have a shot with BoB.

We'll see how things go with a tougher schedule.
