Let's be honest here, the Texans gave up and didn't give a **** early on in the season just like the Rockets did. It was well beyond just the QB. Atlanta and Miami games still happened.

I don't know what flipped their switch: maybe Mallet and Moore were real cancers. Maybe Mallet getting a free pass really brought the whole team down. Maybe BOB apologizing brought some accountability back. Maybe Clowney and Kareem being out have some other guys a chance to shine. Whatever it is, it took the team out of their 'don't give a ****' mode.

Hopefully something will flip that switch for the Rockets too.

This thread was created partially because there was a "The Texans make me appreciate the Rockets more" thread in the GARM a few weeks ago. Posters were raving how the Rockets are SO much better than the Texans and are the model franchise the Texans should be looking up to. Oh how the tide has turned.

Anyone find it funny that the Texans started their winning streak (11/1) as soon as the Rockets season started (10/28)?

    Reverse fortune!

I don't see it happening with the Rockets.

There is something going on in that lockeroom.

I have a feeling it involves harden.

Ah, I didn't see that thread.

One would think that fans of Houston sports would have known better than to tempt fate like that.....

At least the Texans are proof that you can go from looking hapless and lifeless to engaged, relentless, and energetic in one season. The real question is, the Texans had their rock bottom moment against Miami, what is the Rockets' rock bottom?

The Rockets are, without a doubt, the most embarrassing team in Houston.

I didn't think it was possible to do worse than falling behind 40-0 in the first half of a football game TWICE.

    But they've done it

I think the Texans always played hard, even though they sucked in the beginning

Not in the first half of the Miami game, they didn't. But regardless, so glad they flipped the switch.

Life as a Houston sports fan is going to be miserable between the NFL postseason and MLB opening day if the Rockets don't turn it around.
