I think this is WB's chance to prove his haters wrong. With KD out he will be the "main man" and will have to do the heavy lifting without KD to bail him out with his supreme efficiency. KD solidified his MVP last year when WB wasn't there to hog the ball. Now it's time to see if WB is a real star or just an overrated chucker.
Too early to say that. This injury may allow other, younger players to emerge and strengthen OKC's title chances in the long run.
Durant seems to realize something bad would happen to him this season. He signed out the National Team trying to avoid the recurrence of Yao stories yet he still could not avoid such bad luck. He should take it slowly and rehabilitate as long as he needed.

It is a shame they actually have to play the season to sort the seeding's out. This guy is a joke. I live in Dallas (unfortunately) and have never heard of this guy except for his tweets and I listen to a bunch of sports radio up here for it's hilarity.
I think one thing that a lot of these articles don't address is that Durant won't be at 100% when he returns. Let's say, best case scenario is he's out 6 weeks. It doesn't mean 6 weeks and 1 day later Durant is back. We've seen this a lot with lower body injuries, conditioning goes down, and realistically it won't be until the 9 week mark that Durant is near 100% Durant. It also assumes that the Thunder will be in a vacuum the entire time Durant is gone. Knowing the luck of the Thunder, they start the season to one of their strongest starts in team history and Durant returns quickly and in MVP form. I also think the irony of Durant not playing on team USA this season isn't lost on him either (is it really irony? It seems like situational irony to me, but I'm not good with irony).
Kind of ironic that he sat out from the FIBA World Cup due to "mental fatigue" (risk of injury) only to get injured in the preseason... All jokes aside, hate to see any player get injured. Hope he bounces back quickly.
Westbrook will need to get out of his comfort zone and become a little selfish for the Thunder to content for the top seeds in the West. Scotty brooks has to convince Westbrook to attempt more shots. They really dont have any other option.
