msaftx you seem to be supportive of this list, but I have to honestly ask you this..Do you really think that Ariza is worse player than Robin Lopez, Faried Smart and Evans? I mean someone has at least to take into account the depth of the positions. The good wings are so so depleted that even if only based on that Ariza should rise 10 positions at least! If nothing else (like for example that Faried is awful at defence and is only a glorified super energy player that has no other special skills or that Smart can't playmake at all or shoot very well and is only a defensive guard). And I'm suprised from my other team that noone of the starters except MCW has shown up yet. Jabari should be here if not lower even.
I don't agree with all of them, but I think it's generally accurate. It's a lot better than the SI list, lol. Clearly most of us here value our own players because we watch them everyday and want them to succeed. Ariza was really, really terrible offensively last year. He was awesome because he's a good defender, but the guy just couldn't shoot. The only player you listed that I think shouldn't be in the same tier a player as Ariza is Smart, but part of this list is a projection, not 100% based off last year. They might see that we added Lawson and having Brewer a whole year means that Ariza may not play as much as last year or be as valuable. Remember last year Ariza was like the only wing we had which is probably why he was higher, he was going to play a lot of minutes and shot a lot of shots.

so according to espn analysts Isaiah Thomas is a better pointguard than Lawson!... Both midget pointguards and defensive holes but at least one of them is a premier playmaker with great vision who improves everyone around them.
61-70: 70. Rudy Gay 69. Danilo Gallinari 68. Hassan Whiteside 67. Ty Lawson 66. Andrew Bogut 65. Isaiah Thomas 64. Ricky Rubio 63. Tyson Chandler 62. Chandler Parsons 61. DeMarre Carroll Kind of surprised at how low Lawson is, I guess people are thinking he won't be as impactful next to Harden? I think Rubio and Thomas are too high. Updated list of Rockets: 277. No I will tell you what happens. Boston and Chicago every year have their players/prospects/mascots/ jaitors whatever overrated. Every single year. IT all his years in the league was considered a selfish player best suited off the bench that gave up in defence as many points as he scored. But then he was traded to Boston and all of a sudden he's a great amazing player. Meanwhile Lawson was all these years in Denver and only the true basketball fans paid much attention to him because of the market he was in. That's why this list is crap. And meanwhile from the Bucks I am still waiting to see where Jabari is. Jabari coming off an acl injury and having only 25 games under his belt, and with no knowledge of how to hedge is supposedly better than all those players. Next year. Better than Gallinari.
if you add up the total numbers of the starting 5 for the warriors and compare them to the rockets, the rockets will be a LOT higher. hopefully the rockets can change that perception this season.
I can't immediately think of a player with more hype and less substance than Rubio has shown in his career thus far.
Whiteside puts up numbers but I have yet to see how he's actually that good. Unless you're anticipating a fairly significant improvement.
