It's the chicago hype machine. They always overrate their team , player , coach whatever. It is quite disgusting.

I agree that Chicago is too high.

Perhaps the Spurs too, but I have learned that it is never wise to say that the Spurs are overrated.

Miami is too high, too much unknown.

OKC's ranking totally depends on Durant's future. They can be too low or too high.

IMO, the Clippers (my most hated team) are too low. They should be about the same level as the Rockets in the top 5 range, which should consist of (in no particular order) Warriors, Cavs, Spurs, Rockets, and Clippers.

Chicago is consistently the most overrated team in the league.

If you don't like what I say, what's the point of responding?

The Bulls continue to be the most overrated franchise in the NBA.

    Agreed.

Warriors/San Antonio/Rockets/Clippers are the 4 best teams in the league.

I don't know what order though. I doubt a team from the east wins a championship for a while barring some crazy shift of power.

My personal future power rankings trying to be as objective as possible:
    1) GSW
    2) OKC
    3) Cavs
    4) Rockets
    5) Clippers
    6) Spurs
    7) Pelicans (because AD alone)
    8) Hawks (Bud is there to stay)
    9) Bulls (too old frontcourt)
    10) Jazz
    11) Wizards (minus points for idiot GM)
    12) Pacers (have a superstar in his prime)
    13) Grizzlies (because old)
    14) Bucks (hope I'm not homer)
    15) Raptors (great GM + high pick + tradechips and star prospect)
    16) Minny (stacked with young talent but bad GM/coach)
    17) Heat (old and no picks but Riley)
    18) Kings ( big questionmark but have a star center in roster)
    19) Portland (great GM + star)
    20) Magic (stacked with young talent)
    21) Detroit (great coach, upcoming star)
    22) Boston (low quality tradechips, worthless capspace)
    23) Suns (impatient owner)
    24) Hornets (underrated but without star and bad GM)
    25) Lakers
    26) Nuggets (young talent with some star potential + great tradechips vets)
    27) Dallas (horrible)
    28) Knicks
    29) Sixers (selling hope)
    30) Nets (owe too many picks)

All I really need to know about this is that they claimed the Cavs will be the best team in the East so long as Lebron in his prime while simultaneously listing Utah at 8 and the Pelicans at 13.

WHAT ABOUT ANTHONY DAVIS?!?! He may already be the best individual player in the league. And I love the young core Utah has put together, but at 8 that is absolutely nuts.

Houston has always been high on this list. That's over now. Where do you guys think we'll rank in 2 months?

Funny that everyone was disappointed by a #5 ranking.

I remember being unsure about the Rockets, but I didn't have OKC ranked highly last offseason either.

This year I'm going to say ..... #10-#11

CF is full of massive homers, myself included. This is why we tell ourselves that DMo is a star, Capela is just as good as Dwight, and Harrell will develop into a good outside shooter.*

*That last one is me. Poor, silly, delusional me.

It was hard not to be hyped with the potential of Lawson - Harden - Howard, not realizing that Lawson was just a walking corpse and the rest of the team regressed from the year before instead of gelling after a conference finals run.

I do have high hopes for DMo every year and he manages to show tantalizing flashes and then disappoint overall.

Harrell.... I like him as a bench garbage man.

This is going to be Capela's defining year.
