i think this is important since the media sayas the 'media' influences these opinions on viewers/fans, even Gms. and its misleading, but really the guys who goto battle with and against the players on the court every night. They practice with them, they play against them, they first hand up close more than anyone else see what these guys do and what they are made of as well as what they are capable of. And te players hands down respect Kobe the most as a closer, espn can throw out whatever numbers they want, the players have more credibility(especially doing so in an anonymous vote so they don't 'have' to answer one way or another) than any of us, any of the writers, gms, etc.

Almost all of these players play AGAINST Kobe Bryant so, knowing firsthand what a chucker he is, of course they want him to shoot it.

Ray Allen would probably get my vote. He's great coming off screens, spotting up, and pulling up off the dribble. If he gets fouled, he's one of the greatest in the history of the game at converting from the line.

Derrick Rose always seems to make big shots against us. It would vote either Kobe or him.

That Kobe misses most of his clutch time shots is a matter of record. The average player meets Kobe 2 or 3 games a season and doesn't even guard him. They're susceptible to media influence and legend making as well.

they have an entirely different perspective bc they watch non stop game tape and plan for these guys, they have to try to guard their first step and their decision making, some of these things can't be quantified and overlooked in stats which is why hollinger couldn't say rose was very valuable, even if rose missed 80 percent of his shot, he is hard to guard. Same goes for bryant, and battier used to say the same thing, bryant can't be stopped, you just have to make him work and take tougher shots. teh fact that any shot, even the low fg percentage difficult shot he takes, yo ureally can't count him out on keeps defenders on their toes at any given 2nd while guarding bryant

    his track record is there

they have media influence im sure, but they have a different perspective in locker room talk and going against them on the court that we can't really go by, and their word should more accountable then ours, espns, etc.
