Josh Smith can play the 3. The Rockets need a 3 and a 5. Marc Gasol is becoming a top center in the NBA. If we make a move for those two we can be title contenders

If we make a move on Kevin Durant and Chris Paul we can be title contenders.

Josh Smith can't guard SFs. Atlanta realized this several years ago.

We don't know that Smith and Gasol are coming to Houston either. Is Atlanta going to waive Smith?

If the Hawks waive anyone it will be Marvin Williams. He is WAY over paid.

Dude makes over 8 mil a year and is average at best in almost every aspect of his game.

I'd be very happy to get Josh Smith and Marc Gasol.

No, no josh smith cannot play the 3. He has been playing as a PF for a very good reason.

And not to mention they drafted him ahead of cp3 and dwill. Not to mention they were in need of a pg. Correct me if i'm wrong.

OT: Marc Gasol would be a huge huge pick up if we get him but he's restricted. He's the new Pau Gasol.

    Marc? Absolutely.

J Smoov? Negative. As athletic as he is for his size, there’s no way he can guard sf’s. He’s lucky he’s such a freak specimen of nature, because the amount of basketball IQ he possesses is equivalent to that of a toilet.

I'm more excited about hearing/reading news about how T.Will and Morris perform in training camp than the possibility of adding Smith. Under a new, open-minded coach, and with this being a very important season for Williams, I can't wait to see if this will be a stand-out year for him.

Gasol on the other hand...Gasol/Scola/Patterson woild be a great frontcourt w/ Thabeet hopefully putting in solid minutes off the bench blocking shots and grabbing rebounds.

As far as our SF and C positions keep in mind that in addition to free agency the 2011 Amnesty clause will be happening, so depending on cap space maybe Omeka Okafor or Chris Kaman for our center position could be available. We may also get these guys with the MLE b/c they will be getting paid from the teams that released them. For SF we may finally get Rashard Lewis yrs past his prime although now we may not really want him anymore but he will also likely be affordable enough.

Not understanding the signing of rashard Lewis....
The rockets have morris, bud, and twill filling those positions and either twill or morris could become a star unlinke Lewis who is past his prime.
