In a remarkable break with his traditional neutrality on the subject, Dave Hardesty of Clutchfans admitted to liking Jeremy Lin's play this year.

"I really didn't see something like this coming," said one anonymous poster. "I mean, for some time now I've been reading where he sticks up for people bashing Lin, so this really suprised me."

Asked later if this would change his own posting habits on that bulletin board, he said it probably would not. "There's just a lot of supporting evidence that he doesn't like Lin, and I think it is pretty hard to overcome that. I think this is just an attempt to pump up his trade value."

Another poster was similarly shocked. "I've been saying all along that Lin doesn't fit with the team. He's a great character guy, but he just doesn't belong here. I don't really think Dave would support him on our team. You probably didn't listen to the interview right."

Several other posters ran away when they realized the question was regarding Lin. This reporter managed to tackle one of the slow ones, but all he would say was that he didn't want to get involved.

More to come as this story develops.
