Nook is right, OP. 99% of the time, it is that simple. It is common for women to abruptly terminate contact or communication once they realize they aren't interested in the guy. Get used to it. Don't take it personal, that is a sign of insecurity. Just turn the page and get on with your life.
Leave her a shattered glass heart on her front door with a card that says "Stop being a ****ing b**** and text me back." She will get the message.
Some chicks won't turn down a dude to his face (i.e. when you ask for their number at a bar/club) but won't respond to your texts/calls when you try and use their number. It's a cop out / easier way to reject someone you aren't interested in.

Exactly. You can usually tell by a chick's body language whether she's genuinely interested. Just because you exchange numbers doesn't mean anything... if she blows off your first few attempts to communicate with her that should be a red flag.
