Zhou Qi is not a good fit for Mike D'Antoni. Mike D'Antoni is a small ball type style. I still think Zhou Qi is a good long term project, he needs to put up weight. I think he can develop to be a decent center in the NBA.

    You are expecting too much.

To be honest, he was like Papanikulou 2 years ago in that Greece team which aint even close to the top 3 players of his own team.

Zhou Qi was selected being one of the first team all selection in last years Asian Basketball championship, but he was no where near the performance of Yi, and not in the top 10 list of points score and rebound either.

You can argue that he is still young, but your expectation for him should be close to Papa than anyone else.

I said we shall see his performance soon. I know him pretty well, and consider Zhou as one of their team's top players especially with his defense.

So basically everyone agrees that these are good bets, except for the people who don't like anything Rockets related. Sounds good.

whats not to like about a 7 footer with the skill set that Zhouston has? he just needs to add like 15-20lbs but the kid can run the floor, handle the ball, pass, shoot and has ridiculous wing span. And its a late 2nd round pick, why not?

Zhou has decent perimeter shooting, so he should be a good fit as a stretch big.
