Taxpayers obviously don't mind footing the bill. We did vote on these stadiums, right?

Did the Texans sign a 20 or a 30 year lease?

the NFL has these cities hostage. NFL is just too popular. Can't blame the owners for taking advantage of the situation. The LA market is the NFL owners' biggest asset right now.

    Bump:

Super Bowl LI's logo has leaked, is on page 257 of Super Bowl*50's program.

If the NFL keeps the regional logo format, there will probably be another logo with stadium and host city elements on the numerals

The Super Bowl logos have gotten generic since Super Bowl XLV, but it's still a hell of a lot better than what we had the last time the SB was here.

I still can't believe they did nothing with the Astrodome since award of this SB. What a huge embarrassment this will be for our city in a years time. Our civic leaders are a joke and should ashamed.

Houston will be awarded another one within the next 10 years once the astrodome is refurbished. ;)

There are two... there's a regional-specific logo, and the now generic-one with the lombardi trophy.

They put a renovation proposal to voters for a convention space and it was voted down. No other idea made any sense.

    Is that seriously it?

Did they consider using a more recent picture that includes signage that says NRG Stadium instead of Reliant Stadium?

Houston might not host another once for awhile.

    As stated above

    2018- Minnesota
    2019-probably Atlantas new stadium
2020-probably Miami since they are due and renovated their stadium
    2021-Inglewood stadium most likely
2022-if the Chargers or raiders get new a new stadium seperate from the Inglewood site

Each superbowl used to have its own unique logo until the Dallas Super Bowl. Now it's all the same generic one with different Roman numerals and maybe a silloute of the stadium.

Though Super Bowl 38 in Houston had a crappy logo.

Imagine if it was the Broncos versus the Cowboys in Super bowl 51.
