Lately I've been hearing a lot of national media people compare him to David Robinson.

He is the closest thing to a young Hakeem that I've ever seen.

    Get this stat:

    3.1 blocks/foul

Think about how outrageous that is. Realistically, you can't really top that unless you have at least 3.1 blocks per game.

    I just ran the numbers:

1.5 blocks/foul is about the best NBA history has to offer.

No one in the history of the game has more than 3 bpg with less than 2 PFs/g.
    Davis is 4.4 and 1.4

I'm now wondering what's up with these NOLA score keepers. Something is amiss. 1.4 PF/g and over 23 ppg and 4.4 blocks.

    hmmmm

....very Hakeem like numbers even though his game doesn't really resemble him. He reminds me a bit of Duncan in that he makes an impact on every play quietly and effortlessly and then you look up and see his stat line sometime in the 4th and realize he's putting up nearly 20/10/4/4/4 numbers.

They are definitely cookin' the books. He's a pretty great player already but not that great.

heyP, I can confirm it is completely fraudulent.

Have watched every minute of every Pelican's game, and keep my own stats (these are purchased by the NBA, ESPN, BasketballReference and so on).
Anthony Davis has committed many fouls in games so far this year. He has a low of 8, and a high of 12.

No doubt that the Pelicans score keepers are just not recording these fouls, and Davis is allowed to continue bullying his way to outrageous statlines.

Dr. N I don't get it. The scorekeepers wouldn't get away with not recording a called foul would they? I mean sure he probably commits lots of uncalled fouls, but so does every player. The NBA lets a lot go.

What I mean is that the scorekeepers can definitely mess things up but it's mostly in regards to the more subjective stats (blocks, assists). Fouls of course are also subjective but they're called by the officials who don't even do games in their home city and change around a lot so one would think he doesn't benefit moreso than any other star big in that respect.

I'm ready to see how it goes off versus top teams in the West and East. Bulls, Raps, and Grizz are my big ones.

No knock on AD, his numbers are definitely impressive. Every time I look at this graphic just makes me appreciate Dream even more for what he did versus the league MVP that year in the WCF. Just absolutely unreal.
